Lists of Addiction Service Providers
The following websites are a good source of information on treatment services that are available to persons with an alcohol or other drug problem.
Getting help begins with an assessment by a qualified professional in the addiction field. In Ohio these counselors have a chemical dependency certification as a Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) or a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC). General counselors have a Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), Professional Clinical Counselor (PCC), or psychology degree, but may not have the specialization in addiction.
